Week of January 21-25

Wow! It is hard to believe that we are halfway through our school year! It has been so much fun watching the students grow socially and academically from 2nd graders to 3rd graders and now we have the joy of helping them truly prepare to become 4th graders. With that said, we will be adding challenge words to the spelling list. This will increase our number of words from 15 to 20. Please study these words nightly to prepare for our Spelling test on Friday!

The students are still working on projects for Open House which is scheduled for February 28th so mark your calendars.

There is no school on Monday in observation of Martin Luther Kind Jr.’s Birthday. Enjoy your long weekend!

We started a new topic in Math. Students are learning how to find addition patterns, round numbers to the nearest 10 and 100, and use mental math to solve addition and subtraction.

Keep practicing math facts at home. This extra practice really helps with timed tests.

Market Day was a blast despite the wetness.  The kiddos had fun selling and purchasing items!  It is always a joy to see their hard work pay off!

Spelling, Vocabulary, and the Bible verse have all been updated here on the website for this week. We so appreciate you spending time with your child at home reviewing these things, and we see the difference it makes in their success on tests at the end of the week. Thank you for partnering with us!
