Week of April 22 – April 26

Hello Third Grade Families!

Happy Easter! Enjoy your break and remember that there’s no school on Monday the 22nd. We will see you on Tuesday the 23rd!

When school resumes, be sure to check your child’s folder for the  field trip form for our trip on Friday, May 10, to the Vail Ranch “Red Barn” History Museum! We will be needing Linfield approved parent drivers to assist in shuttling the students from school to the museum, as well as staying to chaperone the field trip and driving back to Linfield. Drivers must have current insurance information on file with the office and be able to safely drive students to the site (on 79S/Temecula Parkway). A field trip permission slip will be coming home in the near future. If you are interested in coming as a chaperone, please email us and let us know if you are already an approved driver or if you will be completing paperwork to do so. We will need 4-5 chaperones per class, but additional parents who are interested in joining us may do so by meeting us at the history center. (No siblings, please.)

This coming week we will continue our focus on different cultures in ELA and will begin learning about equivalent fractions in math. In social studies we will read about budgeting as well as producers and consumers, and in science we will continue to learn about matter.

Thank you for continuing to work with your children. The last 6 weeks of school will be fast, including the spring musical, a field trip, standardized testing and more! Our learning will continue until the end of the year, so hang on while we finish out the year strong!

We appreciate and value your support. As always, feel free to reach out to us with any questions that may come up throughout the week.
